Blackbird Spotting Scope

1. Attach your Blackbird Spotting Scope to the tripod using the tripod screw. Spread the tripod legs and set the tripod on a stable surface. Remove both lens caps.

2. To make an approximate sighting, adjust the axis rotation lever, allowing the Blackbird to rotate on its central axis to direct the scope to the desired object. When the objective is achieved, tighten the axis rotation lever to stabilize the scope.

3. Extend/retract the eye cup around the ocular lens as needed to ensure a full field of view – even if you wear glasses.

4. Extend/retract the sun shade if needed to block out stray light on the objective lens.

5. Bring viewed object into focus by slowly rotating the focus ring until you have a clear image.

6. Use the ZOOM adjustment to intensify the magnification of a viewed object. Begin with ZOOM at the lowest magnification. Adjust focus ring to focus object with the focus ring, if necessary.
